2025 Hahna Korean Church "DEAN" Scholarship
Hahna Korean Presbyterian Church has established an annual scholarship program to help qualified full-time students achieve their academic goals by offering financial assistance for their educational expenses. Through this scholarship, Hahna Korean Presbyterian Church aims to use its blessings to be a blessing to its members as well as surrounding communities.
시카고 하나교회는 "DEAN" 장학 프로그램을 통해 자격을 갖춘 풀타임 학생들에게 교육비를 지원함으로써 그들이 학업 목표를 달성할 수 있도록 지원하기를 원합니다. 이 장학금을 통해 시카고 하나교회는 지원자들 뿐만 아니라 Illinois 와 그 주변 지역 사회에 하나님의 축복이 전해지길 소망합니다.
Applicant Qualification:
1. Graduating High School Seniors: Graduating seniors from high schools, who are expected to enroll as full-time students for the 2025-26 academic year either in a Community College or 4-year College in Illinois, Wisconsin & Indiana. (고등학교 졸업생: 졸업하는 고등학생중 2년제 또는 4년제 대학에 Full-time으로 등록한 학생)
2. College Students: Freshman/Sophomores/Juniors/Seniors, who are currently enrolled in a degree program in Illinois, Wisconsin & Indiana , and who are in good academic standing (GPA > 2.7) (대학생: 4년제 대학에 재학중인 1,2,3 학년 Full-time 학생 (4학년은 제외), 2년제 대학에 재학중인 학생중 4년제 대학에 편입하는 학생)
3. Must demonstrate financial need. A brief explanation of your current financial situation and reason for why you are applying for this need-based scholarship must be provided by the applicant. (재정적 필요를 입증해야 합니다. 지원자는 현재 재정 상황에 대한 간략한 설명과 이 필요 장학금을 신청하는 이유를 제공해야 합니다.)
4. Scholarship awards will be based on financial need, content of personal statement and essay response and reference recommendations (장학금은 재정적 필요, 개인 진술서 내용, 에세이 응답 및 추천서에 따라 지급됩니다.)
5. Scholarship Amount: $1,000.00 per student (5 Awardees)
Application Period / 접수기간: : May 20, 2025 – 11:59 pm CDT June 30, 2025
Application Method / 신청 방법: Online at https://hahnachurch.org/scholarship (no postal mail please). Please be sure to fully answer all questions and thoroughly respond to applicable prompts.
Award Notification / 수여공지: The selected students will be notified by July 15 , 2025 via email. The selected students are thereafter required to submit official verification of enrollment for the upcoming Fall 2025 term at their colleges/seminaries within the United States.
Award / 장학금액: The $1,000.00 check to 5 deserving students will be awarded in person on Sunday, August 03 , 2025 at Hahna Church, Des Plaines, IL
** It is mandatory for the Scholarship Awardees to attend in person to receive the monies on Sunday August 03 , 2025 at Hahna Church in Des Plaines, IL. No proxies nor mailing of scholarship check will be allowed ** Any award will be forfeited if not present in person
